The C-type ferrite core is the core of a magnetic component processed into a C-shaped structure using soft ferrite magnetic materials (such as manganese-zinc ferrite and nickel-zinc ferrite). Its core advantages are low high-frequency loss, controllable cost, and convenient winding and assembly. Combined with the flexibility of the open C-type structure, it can be adapted to medium and small power high-frequency scenarios, making it a common choice for high-frequency magnetic components in consumer electronics and communication equipment.
Compared to metal cores, ferrite exhibits significantly lower eddy current losses.
The inductance can be flexibly controlled by adjusting the mating surface gap.
